My sister is reading Detectives in Togas to us now. And I bought The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe myself yesterday, for $2, and that's the one I'm reading myself. It has colour illustrations.
My younger brother is putting a mask on my sister's head right now and saying "Don't you want to be a ghoul? Now you're a ghoul! HAHAHAHA!"

I started writing another book. It was a book called Mick the Mouse and All His Battles. Some of the books I wrote this year or last year, I can't remember, some of those books, the writing is so BAD. I might as well throw it in the garbage because I can't even read it!
I'm reading Star of Light and I'm on the second chapter. It's pretty good.THE END

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Narnia)
By C. S. Lewis
see relatedNarnia
Prince Caspian was good. We saw it in the theatre. It was my first movie I've watched in the theatre. I especially liked the part where the trees were strangling the guys. And the river god part--it was pretty awesome to see him lift up the whole bridge. But it's too bad they didn't put in the part where he says, "Bother! I've left my new torch in Narnia!" Because they took "Bother!" out. Reepicheep and Edmund were my favourite characters.
And we're reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. My older sister is reading it to us. I think it will make a good movie! But the dragon might be a bit out of scale, like too big or too small. Eustace might be my favourite character. He's funny.
I'm reading Farmer Boy right now. I really like it because it's about farming.

I like Lord of the Rings, except that yesterday my dad watched the part where they light the beacons six times in a row. And he wouldn't let us watch anything else, because he likes the music for that part. And my brother was just saying, "Why don't you just listen to the soundtrack?!"
Once when he was watching The Beacons Were Lit, we saw an orc go, "Aoh aoh aoh!" But I don't know how to spell that sound!

Prince Caspian (audio CD)
By C. S. Lewis
see relatedMy brother says that someone on the Canucks is going to score tonight, but that they're not going to win. So that is sad.
And I think that one guy on our team got a goal last game that was beautiful, just beautiful.
I like Narnia, and I really like the part where Aslan roars and the Witch dies. And once, right at the part when the cheetah and the Witch's cat were fighting, I paused it right there and it looked so weird. I've heard the CD of Prince Caspian, the audiobook, and it was good. But I haven't heard the first part yet. I might go see the movie when it comes out. I might dress up as Edmund, and my older brothers could be Caspian and Peter, and my sisters could be Susan and Lucy (except it doesn't exactly match up) and my youngest brother could be Trumpkin. [Youngest brother interjects: "I do not want to be Scrumchin! Who's Trumskin? I am not Trumpkin!"] My favourite person in Narnia, in all of Narnia, is the gryphons, and the giant Tumblemuffin. My favourite human character, that would be King Caspian, because he's a prince and then he's a king, and he has a sword and a dagger. Just like Prince Jack in the book I'm writing.

Last night the Vancouver Canucks played and they got slaughtered. 6-2 for Them (the Colorado Avalanche).
I don't like that. I only got to see two periods because then my mum kicked me off to bed. But she lost interest too so she didn't watch the rest of the game, because we were getting slaughtered, just slaughtered! Yup, that's all.

Tonight, the Canucks played the Calgary Flames. They have a good player named Iginla and we have lots of good players too. We won 5-3, Vancouver won. It's a special night because it was on TV and it isn't a Saturday like when they usually have hockey games on-- like Scoreboard Saturday. It was really amazing how the Canucks got the goals, and also how the Flames got their goals.

Hockey V
It's Boxing Day, the day after Christmas. On Christmas Day I got a new hockey stick. It's flexible and it's wooden. and my brother sawed it down for me. So now I can't wait for skating to start again! I got a hockey puck too. It has a red Canadian Tire sticker on it so I can tell the difference between other people's pucks.
On Christmas Eve I got some tennis balls from my older brother. With my older two sisters I gave my older brother a hockey calender, a goalie calender.
So it was a hockeyish Christmas.

Tonight the Canucks are going to play Phoenix. That is Wayne Gretzky's team. And he is the coach. He is actually Canadian and once, my grandpa fixed his car in Edmonton. And he is famous-- Wayne Gretzky is, not my grandpa. So I'm hoping that it will be tied at 0-0, and then I want the Canucks to get a goal and then Phoenix to get a really really tricky goal in, and then I want it to go into a shootout and have the Canucks win.
Homeschool skating isn't going any more. They stopped for Christmas. But it will start again soon in January. Maybe January 11th. I hope it goes on again soon. I need to keep up my skating skills.

see relatedI really like watching the Canucks play hockey because it is SO exciting. Our hockey games are exciting too. But they aren't on TV. But when it's close to Christmas the lights in the skating rink are turned down and blue and red Christmas lights are shining on us while we skate. One of my friends and I pass to each other a lot, and score a lot, and make lots of assists.
I like the Prince Caspian trailer. Like the water jumping up-- the river god. I liked the part with the fire and then he says, "I am Prince Caspian!" too. I can't wait until it comes out. I think it will be better than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, because that one is old and I have seen it so many times. Plus in Prince Caspian Caspian says, "I am Prince Caspian!" and I like his accent.

A Story that I Wrote
The Skateboarder on the Skateboard
The skateboarder started to skateboard and he fell. Then the skateboarder (his name was The Guy) went to his brother and said, "It was all your fault!" because his brother was a professional skateboarder.
Then they started in a fight. Punch punch punch punch, they punched."Tada! I have a black eye!" said the Guy. Then they both started skateboarding and they both went up hills and did a flip. Then, "Aaaaahh!" They were in big trouble.
Their little brother who was five was going down the hill on his two-wheeler. "Aaaaahh!" He came back and up and was crying and moping and he never, ever went down a hill again with his two-wheeler. In fact, he never ever rode his bike again. He had gone down the hill into the lake and hit the bottom.
The other skateboarders said, "Ha ha ha ha!" And the little brother just said, "You were hurt when you crashed, too." Then they, all of the boys, started into a fight with each other.
The oldest brother lost.

Yesterday at homeschool skating I got a goal and an assist. Then this guy got tripped and I was against the boards and then someone hit me because he was tripped and sliding on the ice. I skated off like a real NHL player. But the guy who got tripped was like, out of his mind, but only for a minute, and then he skated off too.
Mine little brother went around for his third time skating, and he skated around the rink without a bar, only falling down four times. It was his third time to go skating.
I got a new background. I like it better than the old one because it's blue and I don't really like pink with black. It doesn't look good. But the blue one looks good.

I like logging because the logging trucks can do lots of jobs, like clearing stuff away so you don't trip on the branches. They can also carry other metal things, and they can carry other things. And I like the logging trucks because they can even carry other trucks sometimes. And they can carry generators, for when people's power has gone out.
They can clear trees away that fell on a car, because if they didn't, cars would crash into the tree that fell on the car. A tow truck could pull the car away, or roll it into a ditch out of the way.

First we went to Calgary, then we went to Edmonton and camped there. On the last day we went to the waterpark at West Edmonton Mall. I went down a slide that was curly and it was really neat. And it was orange, I think. I've never been on a slide like that before. And we went to our cousins' house in Calgary.
